Hi, our names are Clark  and Graham Doman.  When we were 17 and 13 years old respectively, we started Donate to the Duras, a non-profit charity to aid the less fortunate of Honduras, in 2018. We live in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.  Clark attended Cranbrook Kingswood High School, and Graham attends Detroit Country Day School.  Since 2020, Graham has taken over the maintenance of Donate to the Duras and the website.

For as long as we can remember, Honduras has been a significant part of both our lives. We have traveled to Honduras many times and have met some amazing people there. A main reason why we feel so strongly about Honduras is because of our Spanish tutor and great friend, Donald.

Donald is from San Pedro Sula, Honduras and has taught Spanish to us for over a decade. Donald's mother is the owner of the Fountain of Light (FOL) school in San Pedro Sula. While visiting Honduras with our father, we attended many

classes at FOL and even went on a religious retreat with the school

More recently we have been traveling to Honduras to do charity work. For instance, over spring break 2017 Clark went to Honduras and tutored students at FOL, brought equipment for a soccer team (Mr. Mayorga's) we have both played with on previous trips, and most significantly went to the Home of Refuge Internacional orphanage in Naco Santa Barbara, Honduras.

Along with other FOL students, we went to the orphanage to brighten up the orphans' day.  We brought them food, clothes, and toys and also played games with them such as musical chairs and duck duck goose. It was a really eye opening experience for me because not only did

these kids live in extreme poverty, but they also had no families. However, their positive attitudes and gratefulness was amazing to witness.

Our experience with the orphans motivated us to help even more by creating Donate to the Duras.

In August 2018,  we returned to the orphanage with even more gifts thanks to you generous donators. Visit our projects page for more info on my latest trip.

We also returned on January 1st 2019 to host a Christmas/New Years Party for the orphans! Thanks to the Doman family, we were able to bring down amazing gifts, personalized for each orphan. Remote control cars, books written in Spanish, and makeup were the favorites.

We also put together a December 2020 Christmas party.  Unfortunately, we were unable to make the trip in person due to COVID-19 but that did not stop us from helping the cause.  We were able to gather clothes and toys and raise enough money to send gifts down to the orphanage.

Please visit our Projects page to view all of the work we have done and are planning to do in the future!

Hopefully this foundation can make a difference in the lives of many Hondurans. Please help our cause and donate!
